Philosophy of Care:
Dr. Ransom tries to create a relaxed, personal relationship with his patients. His goal is to deliver high quality medical care in a cost effective manner.

Personal Information
Dr. Ransom is a lifelong resident of Franklin County. The county-owned hospital, Ransom Memorial, is named after his great-grandfather, James Harvey Ransom, an early settler – but not a physician (he gets asked this a lot).

He is married to Diane, a retired middle school teacher, who is very actively involved in the quarter horse business.

Together, Diane and Bud have five children: Ryan Cobbs is the principal at Ottawa High School. He is married to Abbi and they have two boys, Casey and Shelby. Charlotte Ransom is an emergency physician in Eugene, Oregon. Bill Ransom is an attorney in Grants Pass, Oregon. He is married to Chris and they have three children, Savanna, Willow and Cyrus. Katie Ransom Blank is an ER nurse in Wisconsin. She and her husband, Brenden, have twin girls, Quinn and Alexa. John Ransom is employed by an NGO in Washington, DC.

Bud’s free time is spent woodworking, collecting and restoring antiques, gardening, and helping Diane with her horses.
